For years Cuba was off-limits to U.S. citizens, not anymore. It takes a little effort to visit this Caribbean nation, but the chance to it experience its culture, history, cuisine, and beaches makes it all worthwhile. Cuba is truly a country of indefinable magic! Here are four cities you should visit when traveling to Cuba.

Havana is a staggering blend of superbly unique architecture, beautiful horizons, and brilliant 1950s supercars. Contemporary Havana can be described as three cities in one: Old Havana, Vedado, and the newer suburban districts. The city is also noted for its history, culture, architecture, and monuments. The restoration of Old Havana offers a number of new attractions, including a museum to house relics of the Cuban revolution.

With its splendid Spanish frontier engineering, cobblestone roads, and steed trucks, a walk around Trinidad feels like a visit to a 1850s film set. The Plaza Mayor offers the lovely Iglesia Parroquial de la Santisima church for tourists to explore. Deeply connected to its heritage, Trinidad is a great destination for anyone wanting to learn more about the history of Cuba. For music lovers, Trinidad hosts multiple festivals during the year featuring the music of the Caribbean and the steelpan, which originated in Trinidad and is the country’s national instrument.

Santa Clara

Santa Clara has some of the most beautiful viewpoints in Cuba and provides a variety of different attractions for tourists. Loma del Capiro is the perfect spot to sightsee and served as a pivotal vantage point for Che Guevara’s guerilla armed force during the Cuban revolution. Climb the simple 579-foot crest to see a striking landmark and cool off from the tropical sun.

Santiago de Cuba

Santiago de Cuba will reel you in with the sounds of bongos, guitars, and singing. There’s music playing everywhere is this lively city. Each July Satntiago de Cuba hosts one of the oldest and most authentic street carnivals in Latin America.
